Our maintenance team were contacted by the Landscape Projects Officer at the City of Fremantle on the 22nd December 2012.
What we did
To anticipate any requests over the Christmas break, we made sure our stock of spare parts and new seats were plenty.
Once we received the notification from the City of Fremantle, our maintenance team swapped holiday arrangements and work shifts to enable two vehicles to assess the damages and replace two broken seats.
We deemed the problem seats to be dangerous. We had one vehicle to service the damages and remove the broken seats while the second vehicle supplied and installed two brand new seats on the same day.
The broken seats were removed, and two new seats were installed on the morning of the 23rd of December 2012, less than 24 hours of receiving the notification.
